Joshua’s Mission

Mission Statement: Serving God and You.

Healing Hearts, Helping People Experience Freedom, Proclaiming Release, Restoration and the Year of God’s Favor Over People. (Luke 4:18-19, John 20:21)

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;

He has sent me to:

1. Heal the brokenhearted.

2. Preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind.

3. Set at liberty them that are bruised.

4. Preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

When I was young and very concerned about what God wanted from me personally and was trying to figure it all out one day my dad asked me, “Son, do you want to know what God wants from you?” I replied, “Yes dad, but, I just can’t figure it out. What does God want from me? It seems like so much.” He then took me to the Holy Bible and read me a verse from the book of Micah. Here is what it says, Micah 6:8 “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” After reading this verse it all became clear. God wanted right actions, kind and forgiving actions, and for me to have a real relationship with Him. Ever since that day my life theme was completely changed.

Chosen to be dominated by God, by Joshua doing right, Joshua living kind, and Joshua walking with God along life. When was the last time you experienced some domination? Has your favorite sports team ever dominated in a game you’ve watched? What does it look like to be dominated…to be dominated by God?  My goal is to see God, hear God, experience God, and love God. This is done by giving ones self to a full pursuit of God. God then meets me the rest of the way. Being close friends with someone typically means your likes and dislikes become similar. God is all about loving people and so naturally so am I. Seeking to foster a genuine spirit of love towards everyone I meet my mission statement simply stated is to serve God and You.
