King’s Business

The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of knowledge: [but] fools despise wisdom and instruction. -Proverbs 1:17 KJV

The very first place we can start is with God.

In, Mat 7:24 Jesus said. “ Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock”

If you try to build on with some other foundation other than God you will be building on sand.

Why? Simply, assume for a minute there was no God. Who or what would you trust?
• A great leader? Hitler was considered a great leader.
• Money? The US owes trillions.
• Science? It changes from day to day.

These foundations are based on the finite, but if there is a God (and there is), then you have someone that is unchanging, eternal, and reliable to trust. Something solid to put your trust in.

The good news is you do not have to just take my word for it. We have God’s Word to trust. Think of this reasoning about it. If you you do not have God why trust your own thoughts.

Have you ever made a mistake, of course you have? And the reason you know you made the mistake is because there is something that you instinctively know is true. Something that you can trust and rely on.

Acts 17:28 “ For in him we live, and move, and have our being”

You Got to Trust Something

There is nothing better to trust than God and His Word. Important questions about life only make sense when you understand there is an eternal uncreated God at the forefront.

Purpose, existence, and our continuance are based on the eternal existence of our invisible Almighty Father.

Whether you acknowledge your trust in His Word or not His word remains certain, so you might as well choose to follow it.

Mat 24:35, Mark 13:31, Luke 21:33 – Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Put God’s word first.

1 Cor 3:11 – For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Article Review:
1. There has to be a start.
2. God makes sense above our own ideas.
3. God’s Word should be what you choose to follow.
