My Story
Whoman Joshua Ryder was born on October 13, 1979, in the capital city of California, Sacramento. David, his father, was a radically saved young born again Christian who had married a Muslim, Fouzieh. Joshua grew up in the midst of one of the greatest conflicts of all time; the war between darkness and light, between Islam and Christianity.
Joshua naturally was drawn to his father because in him he saw the light of Jesus Christ, something his loving mother lacked. Also like all young boys with loving and caring dads, Joshua found it hard to resist wanting to be like daddy. Joshua accepted Jesus Christ as his own personal Lord and Savior at the age of 5. At the age of 6 he was baptized in the HOLY GHOST and experienced a renewal from God. It was at this time he received the gift of speaking in other tongues. Also he had an experience of interpreting this other tongue. His father noted that the things being said by this 6-year old boy were beyond a child’s maturity and understanding.
Growing up in the greater Sacramento area, Joshua constantly was participating in his little business ventures. One time he sold greeting cards door to door. Another time he recruited one of his friends and started his own landscaping business. The plan was to get a job and then share the work load with his friend splitting the profit. One of the things that really struck Joshua as a child was the concept of debt. He told his father that he wasn’t going to be in debt when he grew up. He also told him that he was going to buy his house for cash. But it didn’t stop there, Joshua found another opportunity in High School. One day he saw his friends where selling candy for various clubs and organizations. He determined to do the same for himself. He surveyed his candy selling friends to find out the most popular candies and then went to his local Sam’s Club where his parents had a membership to buy the candy for resell at his school. Candy wasn’t cheap and Joshua couldn’t buy all the candy he wanted to so he went with the two highest ranking candies Twix and Skittles. With his local niche research complete and his product purchased he couldn’t wait to get to school. He had great success and soon had a little profit.
After High School Joshua worked at his local bank as a teller while putting himself through college. While working at the bank he learned that the wealthy were comprised of two groups; those that ran or owned their own businesses and those that inherited money from their parents and dead relatives. It was at this moment Joshua realized his only option was to start or purchase a business. But he didn’t know which one.
During this time Joshua decided it was time to get married. Having a strong faith in God, Joshua asked God for a wife, everything he wanted in a soul mate to the last detail. Miraculously, God answered. Shortly thereafter Joshua got married and started his life with his love and precious gift from God, Charissa. With a gorgeous helper at his side, Joshua was ready to conquer the world and combined with what he learned in the bank, Joshua determined that his family needed to own their own business.
God then sent another blessing to Joshua Ryder and Charissa, an opportunity presented itself in which a local mom and pop dental equipment service repair operation was practically throwing away their 10 years of labor and good will. Joshua suggested to the owners that this Dental Equipment, Service and Repair company needed to live on. Unfortunately Joshua knew nothing about Dental Repair work but, when he saw the opportunity just like with his candy business in High School, he jumped in. Joshua went to work and in a short period recruited a 17 year restaurant equipment veteran to be his partner and master technician and with his wife as accountant/office manager he began his first official grown up business venture. Soon after the Dental Company was incorporated and buying property. They ran the business in the black every year and quickly learned that owning and running a business, although very rewarding, was much harder work than working at a job. The more they grew the more it seemed they were working. Sometimes 14-hour days and including working on weekends, no vacation, no sick leave, or holidays. 3 years of profit and success left him and his wife exhausted and seeking answers. They determined to sell their business and seek a whole new field of business — a systemized businesses.
This is were Joshua was introduced to network marketing. His first venture was with one of the oldest companies in the industry that sells household products and also has many other partner stores. Additionally at this time Joshua started a small vending machine business. After recruiting and building both business and a small team in his network marketing company, he realized that the current company was using old school methods in a fresh new world. He approached his mentor with this problem but was encouraged to keep the current marketing plan and not try to re-invent the wheel. This response spurred Joshua to leave this company to pursue other business ventures, as Joshua would say, “Innovation and creativity never stand still.”
As a believer in Jesus Christ, Joshua Ryder and his wife Charissa have always held fast to the truth that they are not owners of these businesses but stewards who must be found faithful. They are always ready to hear the Lord in what he has to say. An example of this is when Joshua and Charissa Ryder were told to give away the profit producing vending machine business. Fast forward 8 years later and you can find Joshua all over the world. Anointed for business He is marketing businesses using radio, internet, phone, email, websites, word of mouth, social media, articles, video, and even outsourcing…. you name it he has done it.
